Fumed silica is widely used as a thickening & thixotropic agent in liquid resin system and provide reinforcement to fibre reinforced composite materials. In adhesives It helps control viscosity, improve sag resistant, anti-settling of fillers, formulation stability, improve adhesion & bond strength. In sealants it provides thixotropy, reinforcement, anti-sag and transparency.

Fumed silica is used in variety of applications including construction, electronics, automotive structural adhesives, wind blade, UPR composites, pressure sensitive adhesives, solvent cements, RTV sealants, HTV rubber, liquid silicone rubber etc.
