Support towards medical equipment
The Sanmar Group CSR Trust supported Christian Medical College, Vellore with Rs 1.39 crores for two Image Intensifiers in the Operation Theatre at CMC’s new Trauma Care Centre in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. The Image Intensifiers are primarily used by the Orthopedic and Trauma Surgeons for accident victims and trauma patients. Based on live imaging from the Image Intensifier, the surgeon decides on the need for any modification during the course of a surgery.
Christian Medical College (CMC) Vellore Association runs a 3,000-bed charitable hospital and college. CMC provides healthcare to 30 lakh patients, and attends to more than 7,500 trauma victims, annually.
