| AIMA, SANMAR presents grand finale of Management Quiz in Chennai |
| The All India Management Association (AIMA) and the Chennai-based SANMAR group jointly presented the southern regional rounds and grand finale of the 8th National Management Quiz here last evening. |
More than a contest, a frontier to conquer in the corporate world, the quiz saw of the participation of 150 teams from four regions of the country. Champion team Mr Sabyasachi Pani and Mr Shantanu Dey from Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, Delhi carried away the title with cash award of Rs 75,000, trophy and attractive gift hampers. While the first runner up team-Sun Microsystems, Mumbai wrapped cash award of Rs 50,000, trophy and gift hampers, the second runner up team-NTPC, Delhi took with them Rs 25,000, trophy and gift hampers. Mr S K Swamy, CEO-RK Swamy BBDO and Vice President - AIMA, Mr Shankar, Chairman, Sanmar Group and Mr Gopal, President, MMA were the chief guests for the occasion and distributed the prizes to the winners. A team of eminent management professionals, comprising Mr S P S Jaggi, Mr Jacob Kurian and Mr V Kumar from Bhilai Steel Plant were served as the masters for the quiz competition. |
| This quiz took place in Northern, Western, Eastern and Southern regions earlier between November 17 and December one. A record participation of 150 teams (Delhi-47, Mumbai-33, Kolkata-31, Chennai - 39) from Corporates such as TCS, NTPC, Vizag, Reliance, Tata, Idea Cellular, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, Aditya Birla Group and MICO were seen in these cities. All the regional winners were awarded Rs 25,000, trophy and attractive gift hampers and all the regional first runner up were presented with Rs 15,000, trophy and gift hampers. Questa Software was the winner for the Chennai region. |
