| Sanmar launches Assurance Company in city |
| Chennai, Jan 21: |
| India's leading business group Sanmar in a joint
venture with leading Australian based financial services AMP launched
its Assurance company in the city today. |
| Former President of India R. Venkataraman inaugurated
the 'AMP Sanmar Assurance Company' at a function in the presence of
Australian High commissioner to India Penelope Anne Wensley. |
| Chairman of Sanmar Group N.Sankar and Managing
Director of AMP International were present during the launching. |
| Australian Cricket Captain Steve Waugh who had
featured in the advertisement campaign for AMP Assurance company spoke
via video at the inaugural said that the partnership between AMP and
Sanmar would be great for the people of India providing them with
quality insurance products and services to help them create better
futures for their families. |
| AMP with over 150 years of expertise in life insurance
and financial planning is joining Sanmar Group in this exercise, he
noted. |
