| Vedaranyam branch helps district better Guinness tree planting record |
| A team of 300 people residing in Nagapattinam District planted 80,244 trees in a single day on December 4, 2002, beating an existing Guinness World Record. Chemplast Sanmar played a key role in this achievement by donating Rs. 50,000 towards the effort. A letter received by our Vedaranyam branch from the District Collector is reproduced here. |
