| Factory day at Plant II, Mettur |
| The 37th Factory Day was celebrated at Plant II on May 4, 2004. K Parthasarathy, Assistant Vice President - Personnel, welcomed the gathering. The Chief guest P S Jayaraman, Managing Director, distributed mementos to long serving employees, who had completed 10, 20 and 30 years of service. Employees’ children, who had excelled in sports at the state and national level, also received mementos. Prizes were also given to winners of the Club Day tournaments. M Munusamy, President of the Chemplast Employees Union, Salem, spoke on the occasion while T AN Thenappan, Vice President, delivered the vote of thanks. |

First of his kind
S Krishnan, Joint Manager- Mechanical, Plant III, completed 40 years of service on May 14, 2004, becoming the first employee to do so at the executive/ managerial level. At a function held on May 24, 2004, he was felicitated. |
