| Durametallic Sanmar Limited (DMS) is a twenty
four year old joint venture between the Sanmar group and Flowserve
Corporation, USA. Flowserve Corporation, USA is a world leader
in the design and manufacturing of seals and sealing systems.

quality mechanical seals by pump manufacturers and process industries
in India. |
| The Government approval for the joint venture
for the formation of Durametallic India Limited – as it
was then – was obtained on 23rd March, 1975 and the company
was incorporated in September, 1975. It has modern manufacturing
facilities at Karapakkam, Chennai, equipped to manufacture the
full range of mechanical seals required by the Indian market.
It is an ISO 9001 company. |

| Due to the joint venture relationship, DMS has complete
and on-line access to the technical know-how and latest developments
of Flowserve Corporation, USA. DMS caters to the critical sealing
requirements of the chemical, petrochemical, power and other industry
segments by providing engineered sealing solutions. It has 9 offices
spread over the country to assist customers in selecting seals for
their specific needs and to provide them required services. |
| A significant portion of the production is exported
by DMS to its affiliates worldwide. Its principals are keen to develop
this world class facility as one of the primary global sources to
meet the Flowserve requirements. To enable this, the manufacturing
facilities at Karapakkam, Chennai have been expanded and upgraded
to incorporate the latest manufacturing practices. The facility was
dedicated by Bernard G Rethore, Chairman, President & Chief Executive
Officer of Flowserve Corporation on 12th June, 1999. |
