| The Sanmar Cricket Club, Cuddalore formed in 1995
at Cuddalore performed well in all the tournaments it played. The
team’s performance in the various district and state level matches
had been consistently impressive. In 1998-99 the team won six of the
eight matches it played in the Second Division Matches conducted by
the Cuddalore District Cricket Association (affiliated to TNCA) and
won the Champion Trophy. The team can now participate in First Division
Matches. At a colourful function organised jointly by the Cuddalore
District Cricket Association and Indian Overseas Bank on July 10,
1999, Saradambal Trophy was awarded to the Captain of the team, R Sanker
Ganesh, by R Ganesan, Vice President, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association.
P K K Murthy, Assistant Vice President, Atopil, Cuddalore was also
