Sanmar-PTI Filters’
new manufacturing facility |
| The first phase of the manufacturing facility of
Sanmar-PTI Filters Limited (SPFL) was dedicated by N Sankar, Chairman,
Sanmar group, at Perungudi on March 8, 1999. Sam R Chapetta, Senior
Vice President – Finance and Administration, PTI Technologies
Inc., USA, who is also a Director of SPFL, participated in the function. |
| PTI Technologies Inc., which has been in the
filtration business since 1924, manufactures a wide range of
filters and filtration systems that cater to pharmaceutical,
power generation, micro- electronics, polymer filtration and
chemical processing and other industrial applications. |
| The state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
at Chennai is equipped with sophisticated machinery imported
from Germany and United States. The entire manufacturing area
is positively pressurised. Air filtered to a 5-micron rating,
is circulated in the working area. The accurate bubble testing
facilities have also been imported from the US. |

| The new facility will manufacture stainless
steel filter cartridges with soft sintered filter media that
are extensively used in polymer processing, amine filtration,
steam filtration, etc. |

cost-effective quality manufacturing resources to the global
